Group B Strep
Did anyone have this? If so, did you have a c-section?
I read that you can still deliver vaginally but they will put you on antibiotics, most likely penicillin, during labor. I am highly allergic to penicillin so I wouldn't be able to do it.

There are alternatives to penicillin if you're allergic usually clindamycin. There is no need to have a c/sect just because your group b strep is positive you just have to make sure that if your water breaks or you go into labor you get to the hospital right away to get your antibiotics

I was GB+ and allergic to pennicillin. They used a different antibiotic and I didn't have a c-section.

I had it too....antibiotics while I was in labor, but my labor never progressed and I ended up a section.

I had Group B strep, and I'm allergic to penicillin, and I know they gave me something different for it in the hospital, dont remember what is was though. I did have a c-section, but not because of that, I also had preclamsia.
