Growing out of swing and rocker...what's next?

In my family room I keep DD's swing and FP sleep and play rocker. We use both a lot when we are in there, especially since we have an open floor plan so our kitchen is right there too.

DD is growing so fast and her weeks in these items are numbered. I have a exersaucer off to the side in the room that we move around, but I would like something comfortable and soothing for her to be in when we are just laying around and hanging out. She sits on the couch with us but she really likes her independence. What should I get for the family room that would be good for a 7+ month baby to hang out in safely?

DS spent a lot of time in his bouncy seat, infant to toddler rocker and jumperoo at that age.

I also put down a foam mat for him to sit and play with his toys on the floor.

At that point, my son was mobile and did not want to be contained in a seat. He would sometimes hang out in the infant to toddler rocker but not that often.

We set up a play yard in our family room and he would hang out in there with his toys.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have a playroom for her with a foam mat and all her toys and jumperoo etc. and will soon be gated. So I guess I need a place to put her when I need to be hands free, doing something else but want her close but not in an exercauser. The pack n play will probably work ... she is sitting up but needs help getting to that position...but would probably like rolling around in it. Maybe I will bring that in. The rocker may be a good idea too...I will check that seat out.

You can set up a superyard. It will keep her contained but is a lot more space than a pnp.

defiitely the pnp; i have it in my den and wheel it around open floor pl;an into diff rooms. i piut a bunch of toys or tupperware lol in it and he plays. or else, if u want to have stationary, the superyard gate that is an octagon or so and rubber mats inside (if you dont have carpet) and toys inside. they like to have more room at that age to move around so i think those are good rather than keep them tied in a seat....

Eventually we used the super yard gate to gate off the dinin room and the hallway so he's just contained to the living room.

Is she too big for the Bumbo? I think by 7 months, my DD was.
