Growth Hormones
My son is very small for his age. So we recently had his left wrist x-rayed to determine if his skeletol age matches his actual age, which is 4 yrs
Some areas indicate that his skeletol age is only 2 yrs, other areas indicate 3 1/2 - 4 yrs.
His pediatrician believes that the endocronolist will suggest growth hormones. I've read up a little on-line, so that I can be prepared with questions when we go to the dr. next week. I'm nervous and scared. But i know that this is a problem that we can help; and if this is the only reprecussion of being born 15 weeks early than we are very lucky.
I'm just curious if anyone has any experince with growth hormones? What is the process of administering the hormones? What type of concerns or questions should I ask?
Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated. TIA
