Growth Sono & baby's weight at birth...
What was your DC's estimate weight at the growth sono and how much did they weigh when they were born?

I had a growth sono on a wed and they said 8lbs...he was born that friday at 7lbs 6oz.
ETA...I had a bunch of growth sono's the last few months...at first they were concerned he was going to be 9-10!!

AT 36 weeks they told me the baby was 6.5lbs, she was born at 41 weeks and was 6.1lbs

I had my growth sono at 32wks and DS was estimated to be high 7's, maybe 8lbs. He was born 10 days early at 7lbs8oz so they were right.

I had one at around 36 weeks(?) and she was supposedly weighing in at 7lbs. 9 oz. She was born 4 days LATE at 6 lbs. 14 oz. lol

#2 at 38 weeks ~10.5 lbs - 2 days later 10 lbs 8 oz

at 37 weeks, 2 days, dd was measuring at 8lb 3oz...she was born 12 days later and weighed 9lb, 8oz
my growth sono was VERY accurate

Although doctors didn't believe mine, every week in the third trimester, they were very accurate. By 31 weeks they said he'd be around 10 or 11 pounds, full term. But he kept growing even more than expected. 2 days before I gave birth he measured at 11 pounds 3 oz. He was born in the 38th week at 11 pounds 8oz.

i had a sono on a mon and they said just under 7 lbs, DS was born that thurs AM and he was 7lb, when i was 36 weeks he was measuring a little small but i guess he caught up

I had 2 growth sonos within in one week of DSs birth, one was 9lb 1oz, the other was 9lb 4oz and DS was born at 9lb 14oz.
My friend had one a week before her DS was born, they said 8lb 10oz he was born at 8lb 8oz.

40w 2d growth sono 7lbs 12oz
birth at 40w 5d was 8lbs 11oz
My entire pregnancy the doc thought he was "skinny" and he did end up being skinny, just weighed alot! Must be heavy organs!

I had a growth sono 12 days before she was born. The sono said 4lbs 10oz - and 12 days later she was 5.0lbs even. So, pretty accurate for us.

So I was surprised when she was only 6lb 1oz. I thought she was going to be high 7s/8lbs

With the twins and with DS they were pretty accurate....pretty much right on the money...
With my eldest they were way off..they said 5lbs 5oz a few days before she was born and she was born at 7lbs 15oz and she was 4 weeks early..

I didn't have a growth sono- but I thought my water broke 2 days b/f daughter was born (turns out the back half of the mucus plus is watery)...
anyway- the doc at the hospital that checked me out said baby was big- 7 pounds (I was early, 36 weeks).
she was born 2 days later at 5 lb 13 ounces

Mine was accurate, or very close. He was estimated at 7 lbs. 6 oz. at 36 or 37 weeks, and he was born 8 lbs. 1 ounce.

Ry was 1 week late and measuring 9lbs 11oz on the sono, and was born the next day at 9lbs 4oz.

Mine was right on - I was told she was growing 1/2 lb a week and it was right on to when I delivered (they said if I went full term she would be about 10 to 10 1/2 lbs) I went 2 weeks early and she was 9lbs 4ozs. A lot of how accurate it is depends on how skilled the person is who is doing the sonogram and whether they measure accurately. I think if they know what they are doing it the accuracy rate is +/- 1 lb.

I had one at 32 weeks and the told me DS weighed 4lbs 10ozs and that if I went full term he would be in the 8's.
Ds was born at 39 weeks and weighed 9lbs even!
