growth sono in third trimester??

did ur dr send u for a growth sono in your third trimester? does everyone get this done? If so...when did u get it? im 32 weeks now

i am going for one this week bc my dr just did one and he wants a second opinion. the baby is a little small and he wants to make sure that everything is ok. we just keep our fingers crossed!

i didn't have any sono's after my level 2 @ 20 weeks

I got one at 38 weeks. they said he was 9.6 lbs..he came out 9.7lbs.

they normally don't do them in my office, only if baby seems big

I did.
I can't remember what week - but it was something like the 36th week or so.

After that sono they told me that they were worried - since the baby was measuring small. They told me I was not to lift anything - blah, blah, blah
Basically, bed rest - without the laying in bed.

Well, the baby ended up being fine (at that appt the baby measured at about 5lbs. Well, she was 2 weeks late and she only weighed 7lbs 2ozs

They had me worried for nothing

I had one every other week after my fifth month. I had High Blood Pressure and was put on bed rest (stayed 1 month in the hospital). Last sono, week 32, she was measuring about 4.5 lbs. On the day of sono, my BP was very high that the Drs. decided to induce me. Her birth weight was 3 lbs 1 ounce. Although she was born small, she didn't have any problems.
