Growth Sono question
Does everyone get a growth sono? Are there OB's out there who only suggest getting one if they think there is an issue or are they common practice. I haven't had a sono since my Level II (I'm almost 33 weeks now) and when I asked my OB when i'd be getting another one she said that unless they suspected a problem I wouldn't be getting one. I really wanted another pic of little
Does anybody else's OB follow the same practice as mine?

Both OBs I've had do growth sonos but there are a lot out there that do not do them. My current OB said that most insurance companies only allow 3 sonos per pregnancy. You generally get one around 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and 20 weeks. So he said that sometimes it's hard to get the ins companies to allow another one toward the end.

My office used to NOT do them unless there was a problem. I did get one this time around though.
Also, its really hard to get pics anyway at this point. We havent seen 's face since the 20week sono because her feet and hands are blocking her face.

I got one at 36 weeks to measure the baby as well as to make sure he was head down and in position.
