Grrr.. My MIL (am I wrong to take this as a "dig")
So, I have been home with Liam since Friday. He has had bronchitis.. and we have been stuck inside with this rain.
I, as I am sure everyone else is, am going stir crazy.
So, I decide to be a nice DIL and I call my MIL to chat (she is in TN). I was joking (and laughing as I said it, btw) and said, "boy your grandson has turned from a sweet little baby into a house wrecking terror"..
Her response, "Gosh, you are just not cut out to be a SAHM, are you? "
Umm.. Why do I even bother.
That isn't crazy for me to take as a dig, right? Like, "thank God you work because otherwise you would just suck as a Mom and my grandchild would be damaged."

Yeah, I mean, I am not making a big deal about it and I just kind of chuckled and let it go.. but, now I am stewing. She is very passive aggressive (although this was just aggressive).. and is always commenting on my parenting skills..... not for nothing... she didn't win any awards herself.

my MIL is like that too, passive aggressive...so annoying! I guess (like w/mine) be happy they're not in the same town as you   You try and do something nice and that's what happens

Right.. I am so glad you think those comments are rude. Stephen is always telling me I am nuts. She just can't say, "cute picture". It has to be something rude!! LOL.. I am so excited, you just validated me Karen!!
