UPDATE
Joe (DH) received a phone call from New Beginnings today. The woman said Joe and I seem like perfect candidates and have been approved to move on to the next step in the adoption process!!! We have to decide which Korean agency to go through now. One is more conservative (accepts fewer applicants), costs more $$, but would be a much quicker process (12 mos from app approval), and the other is a more liberal agency, but takes longer (currently running about 18 mos). She also said the wait for China is less time and less money. We still have our hearts set on Korea now though, and DH and I are so excited that we will likely opt for the quicker, more expensive route. All I know is that I feel like I just got two lines on my pg test today!

Sandra, I just told my husband the same thing. I wish we were adopting from the same country! Who Knows -- maybe we'll switch.  ETA: I should start a diary too ... what a great idea!

My best friend is at the exact stage you are with New Beginnings. They should have the homestudy take place in the next week or so.... I am so excited for her tooooo!!!!!

Congratulations on you decision to adopt from New Beginnings. DH and I adopted a little girl from there 3 years ago and are now in the mid stages of adopting #2, through new beginnings. It woudl be nice to have aq waiting buddy.

that's so exciting! congrats on your little girl! what stage are you in with #2, and if you don't mind me asking, which country are you adopting from? i'm so excited that there are so many of us going through this (with the same agency) at the same time!

Susan,
We are waiting for our homestudy to be completed. We are also going to pay the higher price to get a child sooner. We want our kids closer in age then the 18 month wait.
I just heard from one of my friends today, she got her referral a liuttle boy from New beginnings on Thursday.
Lets keep our fingers crossed for a fast wait for our children.
