Guest Bedroom Transformation!
It has been a long road with this guest BR - between ripping up carpet, refinishing floors, tearing & scraping down 3 layers of very old wallpaper, patching, sanding, skim coating and sanding (numerous times) the walls, painting, having closet doors installed.....it is finally complete!! Yay - and just in time for my sister and niece who are staying with us come Saturday!!
Before - with previous owner's furnishings...
Carpet removed...
Closet before...
Beat up wall...
Final layer of crazy azz wallpaper...
Wall patched...
New doors & moulding...
Knobs...
Painted and furniture in place...

It was hard to part with - that's probably why it took us 2 weeks to remove it
The bed was left to us - we actually got quite a bit of the previous owner's furniture (she passed and it was an estate sale) with the house...and the dresser belonged to my friend's grandmother. He was going to toss it to the curb when I told him I'd take it. I'd like to have it refinished - there are some water stains and wear & tear.

It's weird, the guest room was the only room in the house with carpeting - not sure what made her do it.
The color is BM Cement Gray - I lovelovelove it. It changes color depending on the time of day and angle - from lavender to blue-grey to true-grey. It makes me want to paint my whole house in that color LOL but I would probably get bored sooner or later.
