gym suggestions

Hi... I am looking for some gym suggestions. I currently belong to planet fitness but a lot of times it is very crowded. I am overweight so I don't want to go to a gym that will "look down" on me because of it. A pool would be a plus because I have problems with my hips.

TIA

NSYC in Nesconset is great...is brand new with a beautiful pool. I really love it there!

LA Fitness in Lake Grove, though they are building a new one in Patchogue. Those would have a pool. As well as NYSC which someone mentioned, great gym and great classes there.

Without a pool, Unique Fitness in Farmingville is great. They have state of the art equipment, and lots of it, and a lot of classes that are appropriate for beginners. The people there are really great, if you need motivation, try to take some classes, everyone is really encouraging of each other. (I don't actually go here, but I know a lot of people in your area that do)

I would stay away from any gym actually in Ronkonkoma, there are a few of them and they all have terrible reputations for either being dirty or treating members poorly.
