Gym while pregnant
We're TTC... and I'm wondering, what kinds of things can I do at the gym while pregnant?
Can I walk on the treadmill on an incline, for example? Can I take classes?
ETA: I currently have not gone to the gym in a while so I'm not in any kind of routine at the moment.

Re: Gym while pregnant
Start working out now. You cannot start a new workout routine once you get pregnant. You can do any kind of workout while pregnant, you will just need to monitor your heart rate and make certain modifications as time goes on.

Re: Gym while pregnant
You can definitely go to the gym while you are PG, but you will have to modify your routine.
Every person is different so it will depend on your fitness level before becoming PG, and how your PG is affecting you.
Generally, you should try to keep your heartrate from getting too high (some suggest not over 130/140), so invest in a heart rate monitor, or keep your activity to the point where you can still talk comfortably while exercising.
You also don't want to overheat, or get dehydrated, so def. drink lots of water.
Also, keep your exercises low impact, no jerky movements and as you get further along, nothing laying flat on your back or stomach.
That being said, I was so fatigued and had such bad morning sickness during my 1st trimester that I stopped going for about 2 months.
Now in my 3rd month, I just started going back. I jog very slowly on the treadmill for 15 minutes, then walk on an incline for 15 minutes.
I also use the elliptical and weight train, do squats and lunges.
