Gym/Workout Rant
OK This may offend some, and sorry in advance if it does (I hope it doesn't.) But I'm not a hater. I'm just aggravated in my gym and may need to switch to a less pick up joint gym.
1. It drives me crazy when females come into the gym all dolled up (hair done & down & fresh makeup). It's understood that some come from work/school. But there are those where you can tell that come there purposely to "strut their stuff" to pick up a guy. I specifically heard one girl talking that she was late meeting her friend b/c she was putting on makeup. (I'm only talking these types of instances, nothing wrong with wanting to look neat, just don't look like it's a Fri nite in the city)
2. When people use the equipment and do not clean it after using it. Ewww I do not need your nasty sweaty germs when I use the machine. Also yesterday 2 people were using the situp bench to step exercises and did not clean it after stepping on it with sneakers. Gross. I now need to make sure to clean before & after.
3. Does your azz need to hang out as you run around the neighborhood. Not talking the runners shorts which are shorter (no issues with them) I am talking the hot pants that when you stand I can see your azz cheeks but when you run and the shorts flap around I see it all

Ditto Ditto, dont you just hate it
Ive heard a instructor once said "Be comfortable, you dont want to have to stop to pull down and fix stuff - waste of time" and also "You know with sweat pouring offa you when it wipe its just a mess"
was she rude - maybe but it sure is true. Ive noticed she is very bold and doesnt give .... about much.

Re: Gym/Workout Rant
i definitely know what you are talking about. my old gym was very much like what you described. i learned to ignore most of it and do my own thing. except i always cleaned the equipment BEFORE and after use. you really can't trust other people. although, now that i've switched gyms i've had fewer issues.

Re: Gym/Workout Rant
Thankfully my gym is not like that (with the girls getting all dolled-up to work out). I'd hate it if it was.
Heck, I actually wash the makeup OFF my face when I go to the gym right from work.
What I can't stand is exercising next to someone who ate a whole clove of garlic for dinner the night before. The smell comes from every part of their body. The sweat garlic. It's nasty!

Re: Gym/Workout Rant
I used to work out a gym in Bayside years ago
and I swear I was the only girl NOT in make up (I only wear mascara)
news flash - if you take the make up OFF before working out
then your skin will be better- and you wont need to CAKE on the make up
I could not even imagin having on a full face of make up and running - gross

Re: Gym/Workout Rant
My favorite were the people (there were always several of them) who walk into the gym with a dunkin donuts iced coffee to drink while they work out.
Maybe this is normal for some- but it grossed me out.

Re: Gym/Workout Rant
I agree with the OP. There is no need for full makeup at the gym. I also cant stand it when people (both men and women) drown themselves in perfume/cologne. I want to breath in clean, odorless air when I am working out.
