Gymnastics 18m old, Nassau only
My DD has been going to 5 star during the week since I've been home. However, I got a job and they don't have a spot open in their Saturday classes. To be honest, I'm a bit frustrated that they won't work with me on this. We currently have 2 classes to make up (DD was sick twice) and if I continue with them I have to miss 2 more before the end of this semester due to my new job. They won't let me do make ups on Saturday's either b/c they are booked. Very, very frustrating.
Can anyone recommend another gym? My DD is doing very well, seems to really love it, and at 17 months old started doing forward rolls by herself so I want a good gym to develop her skills in case she wants to pursue this.

I have a friend who coached there up until about three years ago. She mentioned their two big competitors were Mid Island in Hickville and Long Island Gymnastics Academy in Cedarhurst. HTH

Lurking, but I was a gymnast and I would recommend Mid Island in Hicksville.
Great staff and programs, huge gym!

Is Joel still the director at Mid-Island?
ETA: I was a gymnast a million years ago at Long Island Gymnastic Academy when they were in Hewlett on Franklin Ave. Loved that gym, when my parent's moved I went to Deer Park. Once we move DD will go to Gold Medal, that much I know, but it's too far from where we are now.

I think Joel is still there. I went there when I was little for about 8 years. We took DS last year and he was there.
It was weird since I hadn't been there in over 20 years.

I would go to Phoenix.
I used to be a gymnast way back when as well. I attended Mid Island when I was really young and Phoenix when I was in my teens.
Don't know anything about Hot Shot. There is also a gym called Cherry Lane, they are in New Hyde Park. Don't know how good they are anymore though.
I know you said Nassau, but just in Huntington in suffolk is Gold Medal Gymnastics, they are a great gym. I know Tammy marshall for years now!!!

We did All American in Bellmore for their separation gymnastic classes (starts at 2.5) but they have mommy and me for younger and on weekends. I recommend them. I hoep to start my younger one in January when he is 2.5. Hard for me to do mommy and me on weekdays since I have an older one and we are too crazy on weekends so I prefer separation classes so he can go alone and I can watch with my older one.

My 3 year old takes classes at Mid Island. We started her there at 18 months - a mommy and me class on Saturdays.
