Had a Halloween weekend scare!
Had a bit of a scare this weekend...
DH and I BD'd (can I still even call it that? ) and immediately after I started bleeding pretty heavily. It was like a period...
I chalked it up to BDing and hesitantly went to sleep.
The next morning, I woke up and was still bleeding!
I called the on-call nurse and after asking a million questions she suggested I head over to Mary Birch (my hospital) to get checked out.
So... we headed there and went to Triage where they hooked me up to a fetal monitor and one of those monitors for contractions. Turns out I was having some contractions too!
They did an internal (not fun!) and I was a fingertip dilated and the nurse also said that my cervix was shortening. There was no bleeding internally so she said it was probably from us BDing. Anyhoo - she said it doesn't necessarily mean that I'll go early or anything...
But they kept me there for about 3 hours and gave me 2 shots of terbutaline (sp?) to help stop the contractions.
I told our little boy that we love him and are so excited to meet him... just not yet!

I am so glad everything is okay! Tell the baby he needs to cook a bit longer
As for BD, I guess you can call it DTD now
