Had Brazilian Straightening done and I LOVE it!

At the recommendation of MrsM-6-7-08 I went to Majestic Hair Salon & Spa with a friend of mine and we both got it done by Jennifer! It just so happened that we went on the WORST day of the week- Friday - when it was POURING out! Needless to say, we went, got it done and I'm thrilled that :
1 - I am still alive
2 - my hair is still in place
3 - my hair is straight

I was scared because of what people were saying about the Formaldehyde burning your eyes, nose and throat, but to be completely honest, I didn't have that problem. The solution they used on us (24 hour one) smelled fruity and our hair didn't smell afterward. The funniest thing was when we left. They gave us bags to put over our heads which were in the shape of cones to prevent our hair from getting wet. Even though we looked funny,we didn't get a strand wet and that is what mattered! LOL!

Anyway, the process itself didn't take long AT ALL! I was done in 1-1/2 hours. I was worried about how it would look, but after washing it, I LOVE IT! My curl isn't as tight and when I blow it out it takes me about 20 minutes -( my hair is long). I was SWEATING profusely today and my hair looked exactly the way it did when I left the house! They also gave us a FREE bottle of shampoo & conditioner, a 20% coupon, 1 free blowout to use anytime. I will be going back!

While there we had a few customers come over to us who knew what we were getting done and they told us " you are going to LOVE it" and they are absolutely right! I think I've found a new spot! I live in the Bronx, but I'm willing to travel for my hair!

I am glad you loved it! I had it done twice and would do it again! Just make sure to use products without sodium chloride, like Pureology to make it last. I did mine last in early December and it still is somewhat there!
