Had my appointment Friday and asked my doctor some questions...
...that had been on my mind. She took the list out of my hand and started smiling and wanting to laugh. Doctor: "Incompetent Cervix?" Me: "Um, I read online that having an incompetent cervix can cause late miscarriage." Doctor: "Your cervix looks great. I'm on it. What else..." Me: "Well at the nail salon my cuticle was cut and the girl put some blue antiseptic on it." Doc: "You're fine." Me: "Can I use my face wash with 2% salicylic acid?" Doc: "Honestly, it's fine. It's not a leave on lotion. Use it once a day." Me: "But I read online--" Her: "Ok, if you read it online and if it keeps you up at night, don't. Dan, please keep her off the Internet." LOL!!!! I have to say, she's a good match for me b/c I'm so paranoid and she's SO laid back. It was so funny. She was smiling the entire time.

you know what, you can't buy peace of mind. it makes me feel better. i mean,i'm well aware that i'm not reinventing the wheel and she sees tons of pregnant women, but to ME, this is new and scary and i had the miscarriage recently and all of that, so....i ask. LOL

i tell all my patients as well to stop looking online. you drive yourself crazy with half the stuff you find there. but im glad the dr could put alil peace of mind into you.

Glad it made you feel better. My first appointment the OB told me no drugs, cigarettes or google! I think my list scared him!
