Had my first appointment last night
So I had my first appointment last night.. According to my calculations I was 5w3d. I was so nervous before hand I thought I was going to throw up. When the nurse told me that they were going to do a sonogram, I thought I was going to pass out because in my head I was so afraid she wasn't going to see something (can you tell I'm a crazy worrier). She did a regular exam and then the sonogram. On the sonogram she saw a yolk sac and said that is perfect for where I am according to my ovulation dates  ... She just kept saying that what I'm seeing is textbook what you should be seeing at 5 weeks. I was just so relieved that something was there, it made it seem more real to me. She wants to see me in two more weeks for a follow up sonogram. The only bad news of the whole appointment is that she told me she just stopped delivering babies so I have to find a new OB after my next appointment, I'll probably just go to one in the practice that she used to be in.

Thats good, i wish my dr would see me that early! I have to wait till i'm about 7 or 8 weeks to be seen!
That stinks about your dr not delivering anymore! Its happening a lot due to insurance costs

That stinks about your dr not delivering anymore! Its happening a lot due to insurance costs
The only reason they saw me so early was because based on my last period I would have been 7 weeks. I knew that I ovulated late and wasn't as far along as they thought. I tried explaining that to the girl that answered the phone at the office, but she said to come in anyways, who was I to complain
