had my first preggo related leg cramp last night
and it was horrible! I woke up at 3:45 and strecthed and it hit, i had to walk around for a while and this morning it is still sore! Holy moly, i am hoping it wont come that often

OMG I just had this happen yesterday. Its still hurting today. It was in both of my legs. It hurt like heck. I almost stopped breathign. I stretched in the morning and boom my legs cramped up so bad.

So sorry to hear about your leg cramp. I used to wake up all the time when I was younger with charlie horse cramps in my calf. They s*ck!!!!!
Feel better!!! I guess this is something to look forward to!!!

OMG, I remember my first one. I woke up in such agony I startled my DH and he sat up straight in bed and said, "Is it time to go to the hospital?" Too funny!!!!

I find that if you flex your foot upward it helps it pass quicker.

i had my first really bad one the other night and im only in my 20th week 
it was the worst pain its still sore today!!! i dont know if i can handle 20 more weeks of those types of cramps...hopefully they go away and come back later on in my pregnancy!!

I get those too... they stink. Try eating bananas, they're supposed to help (potassium).

I've had one so far and it was exactly as you described. Every night I stretch out my calves now, I've upped my water intake throughout the day, AND I eat at least 1 or 2 bananas a day.
I also try not to point my toe when I stretch my legs now- I keep the foot flexed.

 I had a really bad one a month or so back. It took days for my leg muscle to feel better. Taking warm bathes at night helped a lot. That's really the only bad one I've had. Mostly they're small and go as quickly as they come.

milk and bananas (calcium and potassium) will help.
the first time I got it with my first - we were at my parent's house and I was between the wall and DH. Well I pushed him out of bed to get out it hurt so much.
It happened a few times after that - but once I started the bananas - it helped...
