We asked the tech and the doctor to take a look down south to confirm out little girl....turns out we are having a
Add me to team blue!!!! DH and I are still in shock. We are a little sad that the thought of our daughter is gone but at the same time so happy to be having a healthy son.
When I delivered the girl across the room from me did not find out the sono tech was wrong until after*******the baby was pulled out...can u just imagine????

Awww - congrats - that is still exciting - and wild!!!!
Maybe it was a good idea for me not to finds out after all - I would be so disappointed (I am dying for a girl, as everyone knows!!!  ) BUT - I look at little boys, and realize how adorable they are, so at this point - I'll take one too!!!

Thanks everyone. We are starting to come down from the initial shock and are really excited about our son. We both wanted a boy before we got pregnant but, as you all know, as you start to go for the visits you just pray for a healthy baby. So we were happy to hear either way - this time around was just a shock because we asked only to get final confirmation. We started to get a little nervous waiting for our appt - we started the "what ifs" but we didn't really expect them to say boy.
So - I know some had asked.....
We went for our level II at LIJ but the baby had it's legs crossed the entire time. The tech said she thought boy but the doctor say he was 75% girl - but he was clear that he would not commit to that. So we went to Impact Technology in East Meadow at about 24 weeks. The guy there said without a doubt girl. At my last regular doctor's appt my doc said that the baby was measuring bigger in size vs date so she sent us to LIJ for a growth sono. We were 30w4d at this appt. We asked the tech first to just check for us and when she said "wait what were you told" we realized something was up. She showed us what she was looking at but said she would have the doctor look as well. The doctor came in and took the measurements - 3lbs 11oz - which they said was perfect for date - and she confirmed without a doubt that there is a little boy in there. We got a picture of his "area" and you can see that it fully decended.
Fortunately we had painted the room a sage green before we even took the test. We figured it would work either way so we are keeping that. I returned a bunch of things on Friday and got some boy things but I am going to hold on to some of my favorite things. Hopefully we will eventually have a girl. I have to go through receipts to see what I can return.
The BRU registry was pretty neutral and just one thing was purchased that is girl specific so we will exchange that. I updated the registry right away. I feel really bad about the online registry I have with the bedding because some people already purchased things. I deleted all of the other things off and put the boy bedding on. I just don't want anyone to feel bad at the shower because they got something for the girl - we did ask for it. I know people put a lot of thought and care into the gift they select and I would hate for them to feel bad. We are trying to tell everyone right away in case they bought clothes and want to return them.
But I can't say enough how happy I am to have my little boy. I ove him so much and can't wait to meet him.
