Had my Level 1 UltraScreen Today!
I am so relieved, everything was fine! Well, I refused the bloodwork (just a matter of personal opinion) but did the nuchal scan and it was totally perfect. He said i was low risk (which is good). So that's over thank God!!! MY little one is measuring 13weeks 1 day (I am 12 weeks 4 days). Dr said thats fine
We got some AWESOME pictures. They did a mix of 3D and regular!!! I cant believe how much our little one has grown since 9 weeks!!!! ITS A BABY!!!!!
Also, he said my hematoma did get smaller, so I was happy to hear that!!!

I only did the sono, not the blood work part and I had a consult with my doctor right after the sono.
If i had done the bloodwork it would have taken 2 weeks. But I refused it.

I thought they needed the bloodwork to complete the test? Dont they use the results from both to come up with the numbers.

Yes, they take into 3 factors and come up with the number. The 3 things are: 1. age (I fall low risk bc of that) 2. Sono reults (measure bridge of nose and back of neck)- according to my sono, I fall low risk. 3. Bloodwork (they measure 2 hormones in the blood). I refused this bc I didnt want it done.
They use all 3 and tell your risk.
My dr used only the 2 bc I refused the bloodwork. He said many girls reffuse the labs, but he strongly advocated for at least the sono bc it can cue him into to other isses as well that he would monitor if needed. So that is why I did the sono.
HTH!
