COngrats. She will be fine. Why cause Oct 25th was my birthday.
Ask the nurses to let you hold her if even for a few minutes--if that doesnt work ask the perinatologist when he/she does rounds.

Congratulations on the birth of your sweetheart!! I also delivered my DD at 36 weeks on 10/6 and like Delaney, she was in the NICU [for 8 days] for difficulty breathing, fluid in her lungs and an infection- on CPAP, IV feeding and antibiotics. I didn't get a chance to hold her when she was first born and was able to hold her for about a minute a few hours later once she was in the NICU. Tell the nurses that you need to hold her- even if it's for a few minutes. You will cry your eyes out [as I am sure you are doing anyway] but will also feel so much better. Remember that she is getting the best possible care in the NICU. I know it is so hard to leave her in there... I was in your shoes 2 short weeks ago!! Lots of prayers and get strong vibes for little Delaney!! FM me if you need to vent/chat.
Thank you all very much..I remember when you were going through this and I swear you dont know how it is till you go through it yourelf.. You are right I cant seem to hold back the tears..They are teling me that she wont be out till atleast 7 days which is saturday and I was released today so I know its going to be hard but I will be up there every moment that is possible and bein home with my other kid right now has cheered me up a little.. My son doesnt understand why she isnt home so it is hard to explain to him. Thank you all for your prayers.. I will keep you all updated and will post pics later I don have them on my laptop hubby needs to email them to me first.. Thanks again..

Delaney is out of the incubator shes in a regular crib and off all the tubes.. She is on formula eating every 3 hours and all she has left is the antibiotics in the IV which hopefully the pneumonia will be gone on saturday when she finishes the medicine or else she will have to stay till that is gone.. But I am hoping she will be home saturday night or sunday..
Keep editing to to try and put the picture but I will make an album since this isnt working
