Had to bring my newborn to the doctor today
so my week old son just wasnt himself today, he was so quiet and sleepy, so we took him temp and at first it was 99.8 so we called the doctor who said keep an eye on it and call if it goes up more.
well it was fluctuating b/t the 99.8 and 97.6 most of the day and at around 430 we took it again and it was up to 100.4 so DH and i both got scared and the doctor said bring him in. thank god everything turned out to be OK, it was down to 99.9 when they took his temp in the office, and everything else checked out good (breathing, etc) so they said as long as it doesnt go over 101 then he's OK and we shoudl call ASAP if it goes up. the doctor said it could have been b/c he had his bris yesterday and its shock to their little systems. on a good note, the doctor checked put his belly button (the cord fell off yesterday and was red and irritated) and his little guy and both checked out OK, but it was so scary to think that my newborn was already sick and your so helpless and can't do much.

First of all Mazel TOv on your baby boy. I hope the Bris went well - I so remember my son's from 5 years ago. I hope your little guy is feeling ok now.

Glad he's OK!!! I'm sure it was scary... having a newborn 1wk old too, I'm paranoid of anything being wrong.
