haha DH gets angry....
So my DH & I walked into 7-11 and there were 3 women with like 10 kids running around the store.
So we go towards the drinks and get what we want and while waiting behind another woman on the line one of the little kids starts walking backwards for no good reason and steps on my husbands shoes, she must have stepped on him 3 times. Her mother doesn't even blink.
So DH breathes heavily and gets visibly angry and shoots the mom a dirty look.
Only then did she come over to tell the kid to stop.
Really?!?!!? really?!?!?!?!

Things like that make me crazy. I don't expect kids to stand still but they should pay attention to their surroundings and if they are too young to do that then the parents should.

I forgot to mention that while the 10 kids are all over the place the 3 moms are near the door just talking to each other.

I would be annoyed as well....I do realize that kids will run around but some parents just don't pay attention to what their children are doing.

Re: haha DH gets angry....
i never understand this..when i was a kid..i had to be near my parents and act in a reasonable manner...i did not go touching things and running around...my brother is able to get his 3 kids to behave in public as well...they are often complimented in fact...i don't blame the kids for not knowing boundaries...but the parents of kids like this make me want to scream...i think some kids aren't told "No" enough these days.

Re: haha DH gets angry....
That is so frustrating!!!! We were at a sushi restaurant last week and it was PACKED!!! We were all cornered into a bar area and there was this family with kids crawling around on the floor I was trying to be nice as they bashed into my legs 50 times but inevitably, I took a step back and stepped on one of the kids' fingers. He wasn't hurt at all, but he was upset and said that I stepped on him. I'm so sorry that you put your hands DIRECTLY UNDER ME!!!! This child really could have been hurt, parents need to pay attention!!!! Can't stand it.

I can't stand unruly children and dislike their parents even more.
I'm sorry, but when I was a kid if my mom had to give us more than "the look" heads were gonna roll.
It was just expected that we would behave, there was not other option.

Re: haha DH gets angry....
god, i HATE when parents act oblivious/are oblivous to what their children are doing... its obnoxious... i watch a child right now who has a seriously staring prob and will bump into others bc shes walking and staring at the same time ... i end up apologizing each and every time and telling her to stop staring and watch where shes going... i guess i just dont understand why kids do the things they do...

Re: haha DH gets angry....
I hate that... i was at my nieces 18th/Graduation Party on Saturday and my SIL's friends daughter was being at total brat ... she hit her little sister on the head right in front of her mother like 4 times... and she said nothing,....
then the little sister had a baloon and the older one wanted it and she practically terrorized the girl right in front of both of her parents and neither did anything...
I couldnt even watch them... i found a balloon inside and brought it out to the little one... and told her to come get me when her sister bothers her again...
i literally wanted to strangle the parents

Re: haha DH gets angry....
Yeah it really bugs - there are so many parents these days that don't pay any attention to what their kids are doing and if they do something wrong all they do is say "stop, don't do that, etc" I work in a store and see this all the time. There have been times where I have HAD to say soemthing to the child or parents...

Re: haha DH gets angry....
Reminds me of one time we went to the grocery store and it had this kiosk where you can rent movies. We were actually returning one and I was about to start pressing the button and all of a sudden a kid (must’ve been 10 or so) truly pushed me out of the way to get ahead of me. DH screamed at him-don’t you have any manners?? The kid walked away clearly embarrassed. I felt bad for the kid, but DH felt bad for me that I got pushed.
