hair changes
over the past few weeks my hair has been so unmanageable. it's naturally curly but i can usually get it pretty straight with a flat iron. lately, no dice. it does what it wants.
i have heard that preg hormones can make curly hair straight and straight hair curly. anyone else experience this?

Re: hair changes
I have not lost any hair, like in the shower or brushing it so it is fuller which I love
Also my legs and eyebrows are growing much slower--also love

Re: hair changes
My hair feels so heavy now. It was longer at the beginning of my pregnancy and I felt like it was weighing me down.

Re: hair changes
i am having major hair issues. my hair is naturally curly (very) and very thick, and i've never had a problem straightening it with a large round brush and good hair dryer. now, it's a disaster. I'm growing like this weird extra layer of hair, all around the crown of my head and over the top. so all over there's like these 3 inch strands of hair sticking out and up, because they're curly and don't get pulled in with the brush when I dry it. and if they do... with the weather the way it's been, they just come creepin out anyway. it's disgusting and i hate it. oh, and they're really coarse, to boot. my hair is also 100000x more oily. AHHH I HATE IT!
wow that was a long response lol.

Re: hair changes
pregnancy makes my normally dry hair oily, thus making it look like total crap all the time. it takes about 6mos to go back to normal, too! my postpartum hair loss was crazy.

Me, too!!! EXACTLY! I never thought to attribute it to pregnancy... I just thought it was because I haven't been able to do the Japanese Straightening, which is usually my Godsend, since I got pregnant! Sometimes I look in my rearview mirror and just see this mess of a nest sitting on top of my head and I'm like, "What the??" It has a mind of it's own!
For the rest of my hair, the InStyler has been my BFF.

Re: hair changes
First pregnancy with DS#1: Made my curly hair straight. Loved it. Didn't have to relax my hair for two years!
Second (current) pregnancy with DS#2: My curly hair WILL NOT straighten and is a hot mess. UGH!

Re: hair changes
my hair is def not the same!!
i love the fact that its not falling out as much and seems somewhat thicker due to that, buttttt...i too have naturally curly hair, and altho i can still get it pretty straight it just doesnt stay that way! it gets more frizzy that normal, and i cant get my bangs to stay straight!! there is this one curl that wont go down and it causes the front piece to look a wreck all the time, unless i pin it back, which is all ive been doing lately cuz i cant stand it!

Re: hair changes
My hair is horrible right now. It's naturally curly and I straighten it all the time and it's just been a disaster. It's extra thick right now and I also have hair that stands up and it makes it look like I have split ends. I feel like it's not growing in length but in thickness.

Re: hair changes
The last time I was PG, my hair went from straight (slightly wavy) to curly. It stayed that way after I had the baby.
