Hair Club I.B. JHS review - NOT happy
I got the JHS treatment yesterday & I have to say that I am very unhappy!!! First of all I was burned in two places, one on my neck & the other behind my ear with the chemicals. NOT once did anyone from this salon say "I'M SORRY", not once! I was only told "don't worry", "you're OK", "you are having an allergic reaction" (if this was the case, then why didn't I have these burns all over my head!), "when you get home put ice water on it"... I guess when you aren't the one in who is burned & in pain it's easy to brush it off. I was also asked them prior to making my appointment if it was an issue that I colored my own hair & the answer I rec'd was no. Well apparently it was. I was also told that the JHS would cost $130 & when I got there they told me $150, which they then brought down to $140. Then much to my surprise I was told I had very dry, damaged hair!! NOT AT ALL & they tried selling me a $30 glaze type of thing to add into the JHS. I didn't take it & good thing every single person that came into the salon for either the JHS or BKT were told the same exact thing as me. We all had such damaged dry hair. It was a sales pitch! Then when I went to pay I was told if I don't pay cash - if I used my debit or credit card that I would be charged 4% more. Nowhere in the salon is this listed! I also told them that I wanted my hair to have some lift so i wanted them to start the straightening below my roots...but they were not happy to do this. The very last thing the lady did when I was finished was put some type of "goop" in my hair that made the ends wet & YOU CAN'T WET YOUR HAIR FOR 2 DAYS!!! Needless to say some of my ends crimped!!!! I do not recommend this salon nor will I ever go back. In fact I see that there is a 100% money back guarantee & since I am not happy I would like my money back!

Sorry you had a bad experince
I have never been there- I only go to Top Point
but the not wetting or washing your hair for 2 days in normal
I would suggest getting a hair cut once you can wash it- I always do that as well

So wait...they put chemicals in your hair, and because they phrase it as "YOU had an allergic reacion," that somehow detracts from the fact that what they put in your hair was harmful to you? What nerve of them! Like it's your fault, or it absolves them? They're supposed to test you and ascertain what will and won't hurt you. Don't let them shift the blame!

Where is Top Point? I didn't wet my hair she did at the very end when she put some cream/goop in it & that is why the ends crimped & curled.

Re: Hair Club I.B. JHS review - NOT happy
OK it gets better. So after I left a neg. review on the salon's website & after they deleted it!!!! Some lady from there called me telling me that when I came in my neck was red! I was SHOCKED!!! First of all it was not! Second of all if it was red then they should have said something & NEVER NEVER put a chemical on me! When I told that to her she was quiet & said I should come back in & they will fix it. That's when I told her I wouldn't let them touch my hair again. Her reply was "I don't know what to tell you". Then she appologized for my burns. Why appologize if they had "nothing" to do with them?

I am a hairdresser and legally they are suppose to do a patch test for allergies at least 24 hours prior to any new service. Now, I realize that this is almost never done, but if they want to screw with you, you do have recourse.
