Hair Salon Recs Needed Please!

Hi Girls:
I live in Manorville and I am in search of a great hair salon (stylist and colorist). I use to go to Cactus in Huntington but it is too far for me to go. I am willing to travel to Hampton Bays, Wading River, Eastport, etc. Can anyone help me?

Nope, not out here but I am going to try a place in Patchogue that my friend told me about called Industry 80 on Thursday. That's not too far - so we shall see! I will let you know how it turns out - I am going for a cut and color. So scary to try someone new!

I'll tell you, it's not as scary (or frustrating) as going to the same person for over a year and looking different each time. My patience has worn out and I need someone else. Can't wait to hear your review.

Hey girls:
Well I had my appointment yesterday. Got there at noon and she took me right on time. The girl I went to was recommended to me - and she was really nice and listen to what I wanted. She didn't try to "sell" me into anything else and she gave me her honest opinion. I had told her that I have a 8 month old baby and it is hard for me to get back to the salon for color and stuff so she suggested that I do a color very close to mine with some highlights and it came out GREAT! She used a toner at the end as well. She was VERY meticulous and took her time. I brought a picture with me for a haircut and she did a very good job copying it. I was there for a long time - got there at noon and left about 2:50pm. I am glad I went there. The salon is very nice and everyone that I met there was nice as well. Haircuts alone are $40.00. I am going to go back for sure. The salon is very easy to go to. It was called Industry 80 in Patchogue right on Main Street and Doreen did my hair. Let me know if you have any questions. I have straight hair with layers and it is about medium length.

That's so great that you found someone you like. I wish I lived closer. Hopefully it will help someone else.

I just went to Sivana Salon in St. James and can not rave enough. I had Megan Masterson as a colorist and she did an amazing job!!
