Halloween trick or treat - SAHM moms

How do you plan on going trick or treating this year?

I only have DS with me and don't feel like knocking on everybody's door for me (I mean EJ!) to get candies Yet, I got him a costume.

Do you meet with other moms and do it together in a particular neighborhood?

Are there any places in the week open for such event?

last year we went with my SIL and nephew. We only went to people's houses that we know. I am not sure about this year, but we will probably do the same thing.

I'm not a SAHM but, I got DD a costume. We will not be going door to door, but she will be dressed up and helping me give out candy to people who come to our house. We will probably sit out front for a while so she can run around in her costume.

Around us, no one starts trick or treating until around 6 anyway, as most folks aren't home during the day.

We went with a group of people in the neighborhood after the kids get out of school. I also have an 11 yr old ss so it was more about him.

My husbands school has a parade so he wants me to bring Jack there.

Then at about 5 we go to my cousins and spend the night with the kids.

Last year DS was too little...he was only about 6 mo. so we just went to my neighbors to show off his costume.

This year he is 18 mo. so I think we are going to walk around with my neighbors and there twin girls who are 4. My neighbor has lived here for years and knows everyone within a 4 block radius so I know she'll know the good houses to go to. She said we'll probably go around lunch time...maybe 1 o'clock b/c the other kids start coming around when they get out of school.

OUr town does this whole to-do on halloween on the town green, they close the street, vendors come out so the kids have a safe place to trick or treat. i am only taking the girls there and then around to our neighbors we know.
My 2.5 dd has been practicing-"knock knock, trick or treat, gimme candy in my bag, thank you"

Still undecided what we're doing here. The neighbors in our cul-de-sac were talking about getting together on the grassy circle and handing out all of our there candy together, so maybe Lily will just hang out there with us. I don't think we'd go trick or treating to any houses other than the ones in our immediate area, unless we end up going with some other kids.

Last year the Walt Whitman Mall had trick or treating in the morning. DS was too little, but we went anyway

This year we are going to some friends in the neighborhood/surrounding areas.

Last year I went with my neighbor - her kids are older.

I will not go trick or treating until my DH comes home from work. Even though my older DD is 3, I still feel like a bit of a dork going by myself! One of my mom friends suggested that she might do a small party/trick or treating at her house during the day, so that may be an option for us.

Yes we will go, whether it be in our neighborhood or in my SIL's we are going.
