Hand/Foot/Mouth or Coxsackie Question
Have any of you seen your kids get this without having a fever or decreased appetite?
DD (13 months) is seemingly fine...but is developing quite a rash on her bottom. I can see a few tiny bumps near her mouth and one on her tongue. She had Coxsackie on Feb but her symptoms were so different (fever, no appetite).
Thanks!

Hand/Foot/Mouth or Coxsackie Question
Unfortunately DD (15 months) has had coxsackie 3x and her symptoms have really varied each time. The first time, she had a really high fever (it peaked at 103.7), reduced appetite, and an overall fussiness that lasted for 3-4 days. She slept A LOT that first time she had it but never had any of the typical bumps/blisters that usually accompanies coxsackie. The second and third time, she had a very mild, low-grade fever (99.9 - 100.4) but acted completely normal. The only reason I knew she had it the 2nd time was because we just happened to have a wellness visit scheduled and the pediatrician saw the pustules in the back of her throat. She never had them on any other part of her body. The 3rd time, again acted completely fine with minimal fever, but had the typical external bumps on the soles of her feet. So each time it was completely different in terms of symptoms, and I'm assuming each time was a different strain which is how she was able to be infected again.

Re: Hand/Foot/Mouth or Coxsackie Question
Yes! She got it for the first time around 20 months. She had fever, decreased appetite, blisters. She got it again around 25 months. That time she acted fine, no fever or anything, but she had the blisters again, though nowhere near as bad as the first time. And the second time, the diaper rash was the first sign I saw as well. Then I noticed a couple of blisters on her throat. The first time, the rash was worse on her wrists and her chin.
