hanging lights outstide

We just decorated outside our apartment. The little tree that is outside our door is kinda dry. Everyone else has lights on their trees outside the complex. Do you think the lights on the tree will be okay? I think we have the deadest tree in the complex. TIA!

The only thing I would worry about is it being a fire hazard. I'm wondering if it'll be a problem that the tree is dry... with the lights and stuff.

if it has any green on it, its not that dry. and the roots go so far into the ground. we just had rain earlier this week, I think it should be fine. I highly doubt the lights get all that hot and your probably not leaving them on all day and night. It should be fine.
