Lights on or off?
Do you keep a light on for baby at night?
She is in our room, I originally left a soft light on so I could see her, but am thinking maybe the light off would help her sleep better.
What do you do?

Re: Lights on or off?
We have a nightlight in our room but that's mostly for me if she wakes up so I don't have to turn any lights on.

Re: Lights on or off?
With my son we had complete lights off.. the TINY bit of light that came in through the window was plenty.
Not sure how it will be with this one.. Try it dark! GoodLuck!

Same here. I think they get a better night sleep since I've heard that to get a person to wake up introducing light gradually gets their sensories to wake up naturally.

Re: Lights on or off?
Lights completely off. I wanted my kids to NOT be afraid of the dark. I never needed a light to change or feed them in the middle of the night either.

Re: Lights on or off?
Lights dimmed, it makes them close their eyes if/when the wake up. I learned this in the hospital when my daughter was falling asleep to quick after BFing, the LC told me to keep the lights very dim if I wanted her to stay up (it;s easier ont heir eyes) if I wanted ot he to sleep openthe blinds and make it bright, sinc their eyes are so sensitive, they will close them. By the time they reach 6 weeks, their eyes are more adjusted so you don't have to worry about light vs. dark

Re: Lights on or off?
We do lights off since she sleeps in the room with us and I can't sleep with any lights on. However some nights the computer is left on so we hvae slight light from the monitor.
