Hard lump inside belly button...anyone get that after having a baby?
I just happened to notice a hard lump in my stomach behind my belly button. I dont know if it's been there since having DS and never noticed it, if it is pregnancy related (b/c isn't that wear there umbilical cord connects??) or if it is something completely different. I dotn even know what kind of dr would handle this. I called my general practitioner and of course they have no hours over the next couple of days as usual  A couple of weeks ago I noticed that my belly button looked a little red in one area and not pu$$y (this word was being blocked) but a little wet in one spot but it is completely fine now. I thought I may have just scratched myself. But now this. I am wondering if it is some kind of absess or infection.

Hmmmmm..I don't know! I would definitely ask your general doctor and get a refferal, can't hurt to have it checked out.
It isn't from babies umbilical cord...that connects to the placenta, not your bellybutton ( i used to think that too and realized i was very wrong, lol).

Def sounds like a hernia. I have one in/behind my belly button as well as another one. I will get them repaired after #2 is born.

Yup! My friend had that after she had her baby, it was from her doing to much to fast, she had to get it removed.

I have herniated belly button, i got it from Pg #1 and it was very sensitive through #2.
It's still there now at 9 months PP, my doc said i could get it removed after i was done being pg, but it doesn't hurt anymore at all, it just feels weird.

This doesnt hurt either...and it doesnt even stick out. I feel it when I push on my belly button. I hope I am not going to have to get it removed ever...I am terrified of anesthesia and surgery
ETA: Would I go to the OB to get it checked or a regualr doctor?
