Has anyone been to an event at the Carltun in East Meadow, other than a wedding?
I have been to a bridal shower and mothers day brunch there. The food is good and they do a nice job. My mom considered hosting my baby shower there but they didn't have our date available.

I have been to work functions there. Everything (food & service) was always very good

In September I went to a work-related awards luncheon there.
It was beautiful and the service was excellent.
We were in a room with white woodwork on the walls, molding and everything... and dark wood floors. It was very Gatsby, elegant, and pretty. The room had a big, breathtaking fireplace, and HUGE floor to ceiling windows and french doors that led outside to a patio with an outdoor fireplace and gardens. I thought that was gorgeous and I remember thinking, this is THE room to have a shower or some kind of party in.
We had the cocktail hour in another room - yeah, it was some luncheon lol - and that was really nice too, that was toward the front - you could see out the front of the building from the windows, if that helps - it was a longer, larger room - more rectangular. And it was more reds, beige, and warm tones in color.
The bathrooms - I recall, were spotless and gorgeous.
The waiter we had was excellent and very attentive.
The food, I had chicken with bruschetta on top - was delicious. They did like a anti-pasta salad as an app - fresh mozzarella, proscuitto, and olives with figs and a salad. DELICIOUS. And different.
Yeah, that's what I recall.
I work in traffic safety -- the National Highway Traffic Safety has their awards luncheon there every year - it's like the Grammy's of roadway safety

My bridal shower was here in 2010 and it was a really memorable day for me. The food was great, the atmosphere, everything was perfect. The cake was great too! We looked here for my baby shower, but they didn't have the same room available.

Was there recently for a work-related event. The food was far better than typical venues for those types of events. Was very impressed. Service was great.

Last year for a sweet sixteen. The food was pretty good as well as the service.

My baby shower was there. I LOVE the room on the right with all the windows and the access to the patio.
