Has anyone been told to take a night off of injectibles?

Hello,

I think I am near the end of the road. I have 2 follies at around 15, and a 12 and 13, along with several small ones. I am on follistim. My dr. said to not take any medication tonight and go back for sono tomorrow.

I am doing IUI and waiting to take the trigger shot.

Is it normal for them to tell you to stop taking meds for a night?

Yeah, now that they have follies growing they want to let them grow on their own and when they are big enough you will trigger. My guess is you'll trigger Friday or Saturday and IUI Monday.
Good luck!!!

Update: My dr. said my e2 level went to 2600 and I cannot proceed this month. He thinks I'll o on my own, but he advised for me not to try to get pg on my own.

I can't believe this is happening.

Thanks for the replies.

Well, my dr. called me to explain to me that I have a lot of follies and they are watching my estrogen. It was 1600, up from 800 the day before. He said at this point I am at risk for multiples and shoud think about whether I would consider selective reduction, though he doesn't think it is likely that it would come to that.

Today's sono showed that my 15’s turned to 18’s (which is good), my lining was 9.5 also good, but I do have a couple follies between 12-14, so that’s the wild card. As long as my e2 results are not through the roof (which hopefully they won’t be after a night off of meds), I’ll probably trigger tonight and do the IUI this weekend. I’ll know in a few hours.

I just hope they don't have to cancel the cycle.
