Has anyone bought a phone from the Verizon Wireless website?
Is it easy to set up your new phone? Do I just need to call the Verizon Wireless 800 number and the talk me through it?

My last two phones were purchased though online. All the instructions are in the box. Worse case, you can always call for help. Activateing is like *### its that simple. They also walk you though to backup contents so they can be sent to the new phone.

My dad just got a phone from the website and he said he brought it to a verizon store w his old phone and they transferred his contacts list for him

I never ever buy things in the store-I'd rather have a root canal than set foot in a Verizon store. So having said that I get ALL my phones off the website
It's a breeze to set it up once they send it to you- they send instructions and the number to call, steps etc

I usually go to the ZCOM stores. I bring a print out of the phone I want and the internet price and they've always honored it. Just an idea if you're not totally comfortable buying online.

I always order mine online. Its pretty simple, you open the box. charge, turn on and hit send if necessary and it does all the programing itself.

I just did Friday, you get the phone, hit the botton to call, shut off your old phone and the new one programs and that's it! You don't have to talk to anyone.

I always get my phones from Verizon online. VERY easy to set up. Takes no more than a few minutes!

I actually added a line and got a new phone not through Verizon but the Ebates Wireless site.
The phone that VZW wanted $99.99 with a new 2 year contract to add a line, I got for $19.99 plus I got $15 back from Ebates.
I nearly fell off my chair.
