Has anyone done a cooking class in NYC or LI?
I was thinking of getting a cooking class gift certificate for my husband for Christmas. Was curious if anyone had done this and could recommend a place.

Has anyone done a cooking class in NYC or LI?
I posted about finding one on LI a couple weeks ago. My husband and I always did the ones at international culinary institute in the city. They have so many and have couples ones.

I've done a bunch at the Institute for Culinary Education in NYC. They're great there.

I've done a few here as well. Lots of fun. Great little place. Yummy recipes.

i did one with DH at ICE in the city and based on this, i would say i am a minority that was not impressed by the class
it was a couples steakhouse class
im not really sure what i expected, but i did not expect to get split up into groups and told to pick one thing from the menu to cook
we got put in a group with an older couple...the husband said, well i want to cook the steak and the wife wants to cook desserts so which one of you will work with each of us.
so DH worked with this random guy cooking steak and a side (which i cant recall), and i worked with this random lady cooking an app and dessert'
perhaps if dh and i were able to cook together i would have enjoyed it more...but it was a lot of money for what it was imo
