NYC CTT Class info
If you teach in NYC and have specific knowledge about the requirements in a CTT class could you please FM me? I am specifically trying to get information regarding class size (which I believe is a 60/40 ratio) and regulations regarding paras and/or students with paras in a CTT class. The class in question is a 4th grade class if that makes a difference. TIA!

Re: NYC CTT Class info
i taught kindergarten in a CTT. it was me and the general ed. teacher. we had no paras. usually the kids with paras are in self-contained classes OR sometimes a kid has a para for mobility or health reasons....
the special ed. kids cannot be more than 40% of the class if i remember correctly and they are technically not supposed to put the at-risk kids or all the kids that should be getting services but aren't in that class, because it's already loaded with the kids with the IEPs.
I teach special ed. now on LI--- it's a combo. of self-contained with some push in...holler if i can help....
