Has anyone done a duck tour or tour bus with the kids?
We saw a duck tour boat in DC and the boys wanted to go on it. DH thinks it is not appropriate for a 2yo and 4yo. I think it would be a lot of fun.
Has anyone been on one with young kids?

No, but funny you mentioned bc DH and I are visiting friends in Boston in September. First thing we said was we wanted to take the boys on the Duck tours. They are big there too. Boys will be 4 and 2. Did you go on the website to see what ages?

The duck tours in Boston are great so I woudl assume the DC ones would be similar.
I think they would like it just to look around and then get to go int he water.

We did on in Philly back in April. DS was 4 last november and DD won't be 2 until this September. DS enjoyed it and DD was fine and ended up falling asleep for a good portion of it. Why doesn't he think it's appropriate?

we went on one in Seattle last June. WE didn't have DS with us (didn't adopt him until august)... but I don't see why a 2 and 4 year old wouldn't like it!! the guides are great and really entertaining!! they play fun music, tell jokes, you can get the kids duck "whistles" to blow during the tour. and the whole part about being on the road and then going into the water was really cool. I would go for it!

I think that is DH's excuse when he doesn't want to do something.

DH is a Boston native. We actually met and started dating while in grad school in Boston.
I took my out of town relatives on a duck tour in boston and we had a great time. We were all adults though. No kids.

Im from Boston, and I definitely think your kids would love it! My DS is 21 months and i'd bring him on there except i'd die of embarrassment being a native, and being on a tourist bus there, so probably not

I took my daughter for her 3rd birthday in San Francisco. Her sister was 2 months shy of 2 years old and she went too. They both loved it and did wonderful.
