Has anyone else's DC exhibited strange behavior such as this?
Sooo odd...
Today I took Riley to the pediatrician for a follow-up visit. We go to a group practice, and really only see the same doc for her well visits. So with the countless sick visits, we see a different doc every time.
Well today, she sees one of the female doctors that she may have seen two or three times in the last year. Riley is 16 months old so we know her memory isn't THAT advanced.
Well the doc comes in and Riley starts flipping- she wants her to pick her up!! We were both amused by it.
But she wouldn't let her put her down! She didn't even want me- she swatted me away!!
So odd...what was that about? The only other time she gravitated toward a stranger like that was at a Music Together class...she kept going to the same woman as if she knew her. I figured it was because our coloring was the same. But this doctor...we don't look anything alike, but maybe our hair can be considered similar.
What gives? I found it very strange...and amusing!
I also found it funny when we met up with a friend (Hi Michelle ) whom Riley hasn't seen nearly enough....and she FLIPPED when she saw her and ran right to her!! But I'm sure she couldn't possibly remember her.....I'm thinking it was maybe Michelle's enthusiasm that attracted Riley. But her excitement was similar to how she gets when she sees her cousins...
Sorry to go on so long- just finding it interesting! Thanks for listening

DS is obsessed with blondes, too!! I think it's because my mom and I (the 2 women he sees everyday) both have dark hair, so it's something different for him to look at.
DS is also always very willing to go to one of my mom's friends. He's probably seen her maybe 10X in his one year of life, but he loves her! He gives her kisses and everything and he won't give ANYONE else kisses (including me!)
