Strange cat behavior
Does anyone else's cat jump into the bathtub when it's filling with water? And not mind standing in 2-3 inches of water?
Sure he's getting a drink while he's in there....but he's got a water dish!
Anyone? Or am I the only one with a freak of a cat?

No, my cat does this too... but with the bathroom sink. She's very OCD. She knows exactly when we go up to bed, and by the time we get to the bathroom she's already sitting in the sink waiting for the water. If we stay up later, she will actually stay in the sink until we come up....the longest she has waited for us was close to 2 hours. My cat is a freak like that. She will also lick the dripping water off me when I come out of the shower. Oh, and forget about the weekends when we sleep in later. She will cry and cry and cry starting at 6:45am because that's when I normally get up and she's waiting in the sink.

Yes, my cats play in the tub, I have many amusing pictures of this... People always say "don't cats hate water?" but 'in the wild' cats love the water, I guess ours are going back to their roots!

my cat does this too he always jumps in the shower right before i turn it on and i let it fill a little and he loves drinking from it. crazy kitty

sometimes my cat sits on the edge of the tub....between the 2 shower curtains , as I am shaving my legs and plays with my toes!!

my cat likes to sit outside the shower door---and wait for us to finish...then he proceeds to jump in the shower after the water is turned off and walks around -- getting his paws wet. he's fascinated by the toilet bowl as well.
he tends to always dip his paws in his water dish and play with the water---it drives my DH crazy!

My sister's cat does this. He is just strange in so many ways though, so I am not sure using him as a reference for comparison is a good thing

My cats LOVE the bathroom and all water. We have had to close the door so they can't get in there. The tub, the sink, the toilet! We came home once and found paw prints all on the inside of the toilet.
They love to play with the water in their water dish, splash it all around and put their paws in it. We always know when they were getting a drink because their paws are all wet.

My cat hates water so much that if she gets just one drop of it on her she runs like I just spilled acid on her back!

My sister's cat Oliver likes to flush the toilet, then watch the water go down! She has to keep the bathroom door closed or he'll just keep doing it over and over again!

Gunnar does that with his water dish too!! We had to get a special one with a lip around the top so he can't empty the dish...but he still makes quite a mess in the kitchen!

my kitty is obsessed w/water
if he hears the water go on in the bathroom, he runs like a madman to go in the tub..if i ake a shower and open my eyes, there he is on the side of the tub staring..he'll jump in and splash around!!
sooo weird!
he loves the kitchen sink too-once he hears taht he tries to jump in while im washing dishes...so odd!
