Has Anyone ever been to Siesta Key Florida?
It looks Beautiful in pictures and was wondering if anyone has ever been there?
Also, what is the closet airport?

I live 30 min from there. It's gorgous. The daiquirie deck is so much fun. Closest airport is Sarasota. (SRQ). Jetblue has a direct flight from JFK into SRQ.
The beach is unbelieveable. I go all the time. The sand is like powder and the water is amazing. It's the gulf and absolutely perfect.
Siesta key is apart of Sarasota. Sarasota is wonderful (both DH and I work in Sarasota). So many great shops and restaurants. St. Armands circle is great for shopping. Lots of neat stores.

Wow, it really sounds GREAT!!!
It looks gorgeous from pictures.
Do they have any good resorts or hotels there?
Every time I look it up online, they always show condominiums.

I love Siesta.
If you do a search for Siesta Key or any of little beach towns you'll find a lot of condo's or vacation rentals, but if you search Sarasota you'll find the hotels. Here's some that I pulled from my agecy's site:
