Has anyone ever done this? (Price adjustment questions)
I have to go to Ann Taylor today and return a few items and try on a shirt in a size they are holding for me.
I bought a skirt there, love it, but now I have a 30% off coupon that just started. With it I'll save $26
Their website says you can't price adjust previous purchases with % off promos.
So would it be bad if I asked to return it and then repurchase it using the coupon?

I have done this. But sometimes I just check and see if they have the same item and purchase it first and then return the first one.

That's I do at most store that allow returns. I rebuy it especially if it's on sale and return the old one.

my friend just did this at Ann Taylor. they allowed her to use the coupon on a previous purchase (purchase was only a day or 2 before) but apparently the salesperson got in trouble for doing it!
i would try and see what they say. $26 is enough money for me to then return and repurchase if they won't do an adjustment.

well, I wound up going and got a smaller size in the skirt and top. So I returned all the things I didn't want (mail order) and purchased the new sizes. Saved a ton!!!
