Has anyone ever felt so much better after going off of BCP?

I'm so tired of feeling emotional from BCPs. Has anyone just decided to say forget it and felt so much better?

Yes, and I was off it for many years. However, I ended up with my daughter (which, I'm more than thrilled about now, just completely and utterly UNprepared for when I found out), so I am back on the pill and feeling moody.

I am sooo much better since being off the pill!!!! I got the worst Mirgraines from it

Im so ready to throw in the towl with BC-

My DH is so anti condoms... but Im seriously about to throw away all my pills- buy a box- and tell him either he uses them or starts taking really long showers

I cant take the moodiness, the emotioanl rollercoasters, the anxiety, and the water weight I hold the entire time (I seriously drop 3-4 lbs the week AF is visiting- how can that be healthy?)

i had some strange side effects from going off the pill. headaches, stomachaches and whatnot. it only lasted a few weeks though.

now i feel much better.

OMG YES!!!!! I have a sex drive again and am waaaay less moody. I feel normal!!!!

Yes....although it was really only for 4 months...hehe (cause we tried and wanted to get pg) Warning that coming off isnt the easiest process.
No more hormonal issues but some reactions to not being on it.

Also, I was severely HORMONAL while on bc and it made me a raging beotch! Mood swings and all.

I was an emotional wreck on BC. I tried everything out there but my hormones were really out of control. When I stopped taking it I was almost like a new person.

Yes! I stopped pills and went on nuvaring, which is like a low-dose pill. Even with nuvaring there's some moodiness/melancholy, but better than with bcp.

Yeah, seriously, the only reason I think I haven't had a nervous breakdown with everything that's going on in my life is because I'm no longer on the pill. I hate that thing....

YES! I refuse to this day to ever take BCP again.

I stopped in October and have felt GREAT ever since!

I am not moody, cranky or plain ole biitchy like I used to be when I was on the pill.

My boobs did shrink a bit though, and my skin has been breaking out some and I did get crazy bad headaches for about a month and a half after stopping it, but these things were all worth it to me not to have the extra hormones floating around in my body.

I was on the pill for about 14 years.

YES! I have been off for a year now and I couldn't be happier about it! DH doesn't like having to be more careful - but oh well!

I went off them, after my Gyno told me all the sides affects they are having with Orthro Evra (The only BC that ever worked for me ).

I just got off the pill a little over a month ago and I feel the same. I never had any problems on the pill - no moodiness, weight gain, etc. I miss the pill a little. I liked knowing exactly when AF was coming.

I feel much better, I might not go back on them. I've stop since June (I wanted a year to "clear" out my body before TTCing).

yes yes yes.... i didn't realize how crazy they made me until i finally stopped taking them. i have never felt better. it was over a year ago and i will NEVER go on them again.
