One of my girlfriend's had it done, her abs were shot after having two kids...she gained a lot of weight, and when she finally shed the pounds, she had a large amount of skin that just hung.
She said is was extremely painful...she had drains in her...it was disgusting, she had her friend shower her for at least one week...she couldn't stand up (only hunched over because everything is so tight) for a while.
HOWEVER....it was worth it!!! She looks amazing! She even has a six pack...you could bounce a quarter on her abs. She also had lipo, and I have to say, she gained a little bit of weight, and the lipo doesn't look good anymore (kind of lumpy)...but the tummy tuck held up great!
So, if you want it, and are aware of the pain and risks, and still want it, go for it!

Yes very. It's been YEARS and her tummy is still flat as a board. After having kids, she always had a little "pooch" of skin that no amount of exercise would get rid of. And my mom is a gym rat and always works hard to stay thin. So she finally did and is thrilled with it. It also cut out most of her stretch marks so she was able wear bikinis again.
I will certainly get one as soon as I am done having kids...which I'd like to say is now but DH would disagree!

OMG! We are so in the same boat!!
DH is ITCHING to have another baby, and i'm sooo on the fence!

OMG! We are so in the same boat!!
DH is ITCHING to have another baby, and i'm sooo on the fence!
Really? What is with these guys? They act like it's no biggie. "Oh, just pop out another kid and be done with it!" Yeah right. I'd like to see THEM do it!

Me too - Sorry about the hijack!
Here's another tummy tuck story...just to get things back on track...
My cousin also had one (along with alot of lipo and a breast lift - also post baby) and let me just say that - if a person is heavy to begin with and doesn't try to lose some weight beforehand, you really deprive yourself of getting the best results possible.
