Re: Tummy Time
You should start to give your baby tummy time beginning at birth for 30 minutes a day.
You can do it one of two ways.
Lay the baby on the ground on his/her belly. (supervised) I wouldn't recommend on a bed or something too soft.
or
Using a boppy, lay the baby on the boppy on his/her belly
The baby will try to pick his/her head up. Doing this helps the baby exercise his/her neck muscles. By building his/her neck muscles, it will help baby obtain good head control which will lead to rolling over, sitting up, crawling, walking.
Good luck and just so you know, the baby will seem uncomfortable and almost struggle a bit in the beginning, so you may not want to do the full 30 minutes at one time. Little by little he/she will get used to it.. Remember it's for his/her own good.

Re: Tummy Time
We put Alex on the Boppy for Tummy Time. I put a toy or something in front of her to keep her entertained. There's no way we can do 30 minutes in one shot though. It's maybe 5 minutes here, 10 minutes there.
