Has anyone ever taken Doryx for acne?
I went to the dermatologist the other day and she put me on this for acne. I am so exhausted and I'm thing this is what it is from.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I use Doryx gel and have had great results with it. Definitely one of the best I have used...I don't get that peeling and dryness that I have gotten from other medications.

Oh I didn't know they had a topical Doryx. I'm taking it in pill form.

I literally just started taking it 4 days ago! The first day my stomach hurt but since then I am fine, not tired or anything from it. Too soon to see real results but I think it may be working, so I am going to keep at it lol

i took it for 8 weeks for a rash on my legs. Didn't help.

Doryx is doxycycline, an antibiotic. I took it for acne years ago -- once. Then I found out I was violently allergic to it. 
However, yes, like other antibiotics, it can make you tired. If you're going to be on it for any length of time, your body may adjust so you feel less tired.

I took it for 5 days and stopped taking it already.
I was so exhausted -- not conducive to being home with 4 kids this summer. Also, after doing more research on it, it seems like it can cause hypoglycemia. I'm already hypoglycemic, and I couldn't understand why my symptoms seemed worse the past couple of days. Just in general, I don't think it's good for me to take it.
Oh well, she also gave me 2 topicals -- Aczone and Retin A. Hoping these will work well enough for me.

I just looked and noticed I was wrong. So sorry, I actually use Duac..but was on Doryx for a long period of time...not for acne but for a different issue. I had no problems with it.
So sorry about my error
