Re: Has anyone ever worked at a movie theatre?

My friend did when we were in college. It was the most miserable experience of her life- even with being able to see free or $1 movies.

I did in HS and part of college, we actually had a great time doing it. I was both a cashier and a "candy girl "aka concession clerk.

I did one summer when I was in high school. I was a candy girl and hated it. I think it was the most exhausting job I ever had.

Re: Has anyone ever worked at a movie theatre?

My friend and I both did it for like a semester in college, in the concession stand.

Looking back, compared to my days now in my field, it's really not a bad job.

I'd do it again in a heart-beat if I got paid the same as I do now LOL.

There was lots of down-time though because it was only busy obviously right before each movie. Most movies all started at the same time, with 2 hour downtimes in between.

I don't know. I know she had some fun, but overall hated it (i think she wasn't a fan of cleaning gross things), but it was a long time ago so i dont really remember.

I did this in college. I liked it, but like the PP said - a lot of downtime.
