Has anyone flown JetBlue lately?
My friend and I are traveling and plan on just bringing carry-on luggage. Their policy is two carry-ons - one for overhead, one small enough to go under the seat. Well, I have a carry-on luggage bag, laptop AND my pocketbook. Do they REALLY count the pocketbook towards carry-on luggage? They had that in the list of acceptable carry-ons to go under the seat. So at this point, I'd have 3 carry-ons. Not sure if I could get by with three....
TIA!

I don't think your pocketbook counts. I think it's considered a "personal item" that's separate from the carry-ons.
If anything, can you toss the pocketbook in your laptop bag or vice versa just in case they give you a problem? Or make your friend carry one?

a pocketbook is considered a personal item, and does not count towards your carry on. I believe your laptop will though.

Re: Has anyone flown JetBlue lately?
this is what the site says, though
Each customer may bring one bag that fits in the overhead bin plus one personal item (purse, briefcase, laptop, etc.) that fits under the seat in front of you.
I probably could just put my pocketbook in my carry-on luggage in the overhead. Definitely wouldn't fit in the laptop bag.
Thanks hon.

they probably won't say anything. But if you can fit your purse in your carry on or consolidate those items with the laptop bag - you can make the necessary adjustments.

Re: Has anyone flown JetBlue lately?
I just flew 2 weeks ago & I can tell you that a lot of people are carrying on now bc of the cost of baggage. The women at the counter was telling everyone they were only allowed 2 bags! If they had more, it had to be checked planeside. As we boarded the plane, they did take items from people carrying more then 2.
I would try your hardest to fit your pocketbook in your luggage or laptop bag just to be on the safe side. The space for bags is definately limited these days

Re: Has anyone flown JetBlue lately?
Well actually it is 2 total - one bag up above and one personal item (so the laptop and purse are 2 personal items) - A lot of whether they will say anything or not will depend on who is at the gate - most will let it go - but my parents flew JB recently and they were being really strict bc the flight was full.
I would try it - but make sure you can squeeze your purse into either your carryon if they give you a hard time. I think you are more likely to not get a hard time either if it is a small purse rather than a larger one as well.

That's exactly what I would do.

Me too - this is what I usually do - I have a backpack laptop bag that I use that gives me a little more room to put things in.
