Has anyone flown with Frontier Airlines
I fly a lot from Islip to West Palm to see my parents. Southwest I notice is really cutting down lots on flights. I usually fly in the morning so I have the whole day with them, but the earliest the flight gets in is 6:30 pm. I also notice half the flight is empty the last few times I flew, yet when I looked to change my flight one day, flights for that half empty plane was $500. I think they are charging so much if you want to book within two weeks to your trip that people are making other plans. So I am looking at Frontier Airlines for October flight booking out of Islip, but nervous, as I have barely heard of them. I would go to JFK to Jet Blue, but my DH usually drops me off before work so JFK is not convenient for that.

Has anyone flown with Frontier Airlines
I flew Frontier a long time ago, maybe 15 years. I think it was into Denver. It was similar to a jetblue flight.

i asked my friend who has flown them on the west coast.
it's like spirit where you have to pay for everything:
confirmed seat
carry on bag
checked bags
i am checking them out for a trip to New Orleans and the flights are very limited.

I started the process of booking to see what the fees were and yes, I see the seat pricing and bags. For me, it is probably cheaper than Southwest. They only have one flight a day but at least it is a decent time of day. I am just nervous booking so far in advance with an airline I will have to pay to change my flights if I change my mind.

Has anyone flown with Frontier Airlines
I priced them out to FL recently, and they were pretty much the same price as Southwest by the time you paid for your seat, bags, etc.

Same - actually Frontier came out a little more expensive when all was said and done

Maybe if you are being picked up. I figured you were renting a car.
I have a place in Palm Beach Gardens which is north of PBI in the other direction as well. I am flying down there tomorrow morning actually have to do FLL as there was no morning flight to PBI. I don't mind the drive, about an hour give or take for me. FLL is much better than PBI for car rentals too as the car rental building is shared with the Southwest terminal.
It's also off season right now too, i think when the winter gets here there will be more morning flights.

It's the same with Tampa lately. The flight times from Islip are awful lately.

You couldn't pay me to fly them but I had a nightmare experience where they stranded me and my 2 year old then offered to put us on two different flights on two different days and didn't understand why this was asinine.

I normally don't take Saturday morning flights, usually prefer Friday afternoons if i am going down for the weekend. Had to do the Saturday morning this time as I was flying out of the country earlier in the week for work, wanted the extra day in NY just to unwind.
It's off season for south Florida, i think you will see the morning flights later in the year.
On the other hand if you are flying to Orlando it's plenty of availability since Summer is prime time for Orlando. 535am, 845am, and 535pm today.
