Has anyone gone backwards- Done IVF then went back to IUI ?
Just trying to get a game plan going for the future in the event that IVF doesnt work for us...We plan on doing another fresh cycle (if this one didnt take) and are hoping that the next go round maybe we'll have some frozen in case we need to keep trying but since we are self pay- unfortunately we may have to draw a line somewhere...I was successful with IUI in the past using Clomid and began to become un-responsive somewhat- My RE was against using injectables with IUI with me but Im wondering if its something we should consider in the future if need be, being as I responded so well to the injectables with my IVF cycle- Just sitting here pondering about this and wondering if anyone else has done or considered it

Two of my friends ended up with a BFP the old fashioned way after one failed IVF. And I mean the next cycle. I would love to see stats on that. But, if suddenly they were successful naturally, why couldn't IUI work after IVF. But, hopefully you wont have to find out. Good luck!

I was wondering the same thing recently. My impression from my RE is that there is a progression of treatments from least aggressive to most, with IVF being the most aggressive and invasive. It almost seems like IVF is the end of the road and there isn't any going backwards.
On an aside, I know 2 women that got pg naturally after failed IVF's and adoption.

A co-worker of mine who is 40 years old went from IVF to IUI and has a beautiful little boy
