Has anyone gotten the flu shot with thimerosal in it?
My company is providing flu shots today, but only has the one with thimerosal. My doctor isn't in until 2pm, and his nurse wasn't sure about it, so just curious if anyone has gotten this version before.

My obgyn, and my pcp both said not to get it. FYI, my job is also giving the flu shot today and my HR told me when i attempted to sign up, that I cannot get it from work because they dont offer the thimerosal free one, and a coworker went to get her earlier (she is 5 months pregnant) and the nurse refused to give it to her.
i would go to your obgyn for the thimersoal free shot just to be safe.

I went to Rite Aid to get the preservative free shot. At first their pharmacist thought they didn't have it and said he refused to give me the shot with preservatives. He then found that they had the preservative free shot in stock and gave me that one, but not until he first called whatever headquarters they have to confirm that it was the right shot.

Definitely no Thiomersal in it, its written even on the package, of the ones that do have it.

Yes, it does not contain thimerosol or any other preservatives. The name of it was Afluria. If you look it up, their single dose shot has no preservatives (although the multi dose version does, and that's not what I got).
